	Miners' Gala 2010 This year's Miners' Gala, held at Snibston Discovery Park in Coalville, promises to be bigger and better than ever.  Starting with a parade around the town, both the Training Band and Senior Band will be performing at 12:00 and 2:30 respectively.  This year's concerts will take place inside the museum areas.
	Star of 'A Band for Britain' Graham Jacklin, the band's Musical Director, turned up in a star role of the recent TV series 'A Band for Britain, where he won the audition for a new Musical Director for the Dinnington Colliery Band.
	Aeolia Aeolia was premiered on 9th May 2009 by the Band.  If you want to find out more, check out our special Aeolia page, featuring information on this new composition, and its composer, Chris Tagg. To listen to a sample track, click here.
	Simple Gifts 'Simple Gifts', the band's first and long awaited CD, is released today.  There has been much excitement following the delivery of the CD's, just in time for Mother's Day, 22nd March.  At just £5.00, the CD is great value for money, featuring the Band on fine form, as well as their Guest Soloist, Jamie Cooper, from Grimethorpe.  Also featured is a brand new contemporary work, written for band and rock rhythm called 'Aeolia' and composed by Chris Tagg, the band's tuned percussionist.
